Installation of F-15C cockpit in OF

F-15C Eagle Superpit V2.2

There are different procedures for OF 4.1 or OF 4.3 users and OF 4.4.1 users.
See furthe down for OF v4.5 and up

For OF 4.1 or OF 4.3 users only! :

1) Copy F15C_Superpit_v2.2.exe to your Falcon4 folder
and start F15C_Superpit_v2.2.exe from there.
Enable SP4 + BMS2 version and hit Apply Changes->OK->Exit.

On Exit F4-Patch installer will possible CTD.
You can ignore that error. If you fly a TE now, you may notice that the HUD- fonts in the 2D and 3D pit are to big.
To fix the font in 3D cockpit...

2) Start the Superpits shortcut from your desktop
or Superpits.exe from your Falcon folder,
disable Aeyes Superpits->F-15C Eagle v2.2b->F-15C 2D Superpit-Day version*
or ->F-15C 2D Superpit-Night version*
and hit Apply Changes->OK->Exit.

3) Edit C:\Microprose\Falcon4\F4Patch\Aeyes\F15C_2Dsuperpi t\16_ckpit.dat
with Wordpad. (rightclick and select Wordpad)

On top of the file you will see
//Name: manager
#0 MANAGER

In this area change hudfont = 2 to hudfont = 1

Go to panels:
#0 PANEL
and
#1100 PANEL

And change hudfont = 1 to hudfont = 0
... and save the file.

4) Start the Superpits shortcut from your desktop
or Superpits.exe from your Falcon folder,
enable Aeyes Superpits->F-15C Eagle v2.2b->F-15C 2D Superpit-Day version*
or ->F-15C 2D Superpit-Night version*
and hit Apply Changes->OK->Exit.

F-15C install, done.

For OF 4.5 and up users only:
1) Important:
Save a copy of KoreaObj.HDR and KoreaObj.LOD found in
c:\Microprose\Falcon4\terrdata\objects for backup,
before you start F15C_Superpit_v2.2.exe.

2) Copy F15C_Superpit_v2.2.exe to your Falcon4 folder
and start F15C_Superpit_v2.2.exe from there.
Enable SP4 + BMS2 version and hit Apply Changes->OK->Exit.

OF 4.5 users will get an error
Failed to apply patch * Setup Main -- Could not open C:\Microprose\Falcon4\zips\cpddata.zip
On Exit F4-Patch installer will possible CTD.
You can ignore that error.

If you fly a TE now you will notice the fonts in 2D and 3D are to big,
the wings in 2D pit are from the gifs, and the 3D pit wings are missing.

To fix the 3D pit wings are missing,
3) copy your backup of KoreaObj.HDR and KoreaObj.LOD back in place
and let override the existing ones.

Now the 3D wings are back, therefore double wings in 2D pit.

4) To fix this start the Superpits shortcut from your desktop
or Superpits.exe from your Falcon folder,
disable Aeyes Superpits->F-15C Eagle v2.2b->F-15C 2D Superpit-Day version*
or ->F-15C 2D Superpit-Night version*
and hit Apply Changes->OK->Exit.

5) Download F-15C_OF_4.4.1_Patch.zip from cockpits.nl website
http://www.cockpits.net/files/F-15C_OF_4.4.1_Patch.zip

6) Extract the files from F-15C_OF_4.4.1_Patch.zip to
C:\Microprose\Falcon4\F4Patch\Aeyes\F15C_2Dsuperpit
and allow overwrite the existing ones.

Start the Superpits shortcut from your desktop
or Superpits.exe from your Falcon folder,
enable Aeyes Superpits->F-15C Eagle v2.2b->F-15C 2D Superpit-Day version*
or ->F-15C 2D Superpit-Night version*
and hit Apply Changes->OK->Exit.

Note:
Users that use a lower resolution than 1600x1200,
and the speed indicator in the 2D HUD is not showing ...
Right now there is no fix for that due to the small HUD size of the real F-15C.
F-15C install, done.
